Imagine City Discovery

The play homes come alive.
A bear in every play home, and a room full of things to discover.
Imagine City Discovery is an augmented-reality adventure inside the Imagine City app. Point it at a play home’s plaque and its bear appears right there in the room, surrounded by 3D objects from that play home. Kids tap the objects and the bears teach them all about them, hunt for hidden treasures, collect gold coins and, for members, hear the bears cheer them on by name.
Tap a bear to say hi!
How it works
Three steps to say hello
- 1
Find the plaque
Every play home has its own Imagine City Discovery plaque by its entrance, with its bear waving hello.
- 2
Point the camera
Open the Imagine City app, tap “Open the AR camera,” and aim at the plaque.
- 3
Say hello!
With a chime, the play home’s bear appears right there in the room, surrounded by 3D objects from that play home. Tap the bear to chat, tap the objects to learn about them, and start the treasure hunt.
A whole new dimension of play
Every play home, filled with things to discover
Through the app, each play home fills up with 3D objects that belong there, placed around the room and around Imagine City. Every one is something to tap: the play home’s bear explains what it is, how it works or where it comes from, turning pretend play into a hands-on lesson that sparks curiosity and imagination.

Inside the Diner
Tanner lives here
Point the app at the Diner’s plaque and Tanner is right there inside the play home, surrounded by 3D objects that belong there. Every object is something to tap, learn about and, for members, hunt for.
Tanner is at Palmdale, Valencia, Lakewood. Members unlock every play home; anyone can try the Diner with Tanner.
Meet the bears
Each bear lives inside its own play home, with its own personality and its own recorded voice. Tap a card to hear them say hello.
The treasure hunt
Clues, giggles and a whole lot of looking.
The bear gives a clue, maybe “Find a breakfast food you can cover with syrup.” Your child searches the play home, finds the treasure and taps it. Confetti! Sparkles! A big cheer from their bear friend, plus a fun fact.
💚 There are no wrong answers here. If a little explorer gets stuck, the treasure gives a wiggle to help.

Pretend mission
“A guest wants a soft, fluffy breakfast. Find the stack to serve.”

Gold coins & the Treasure Box
Hidden gold, in new spots every other day.
Gold coins sparkle around the play homes. Every one your child finds goes into their own Treasure Box, along with every treasure from the hunt, saved for good, and they add up to prizes at the front counter.

Every 150 coins

🏆 Friendly competition, if you want it
Each location has a monthly coin leaderboard of the top 20 explorers. It shows first names only, only for children whose parents opt in, and you can switch it off any time.

They know your name
The bears cheer for your child, by name.
Members choose who’s playing, one or two children from your family account, and the bears greet them, cheer for them and take turns with them by name.
🔁 Take turns
The bear says whose turn it is and gives each child their own clue, with a score for each.
🤝 Work together
Everyone hunts for the same treasure, finds are shared in turn, and gold coins count for every child playing.
Names come only from your family account after a parent confirms. Personal greetings are deleted after 24 hours.
Always something new
There’s always something new to find.
Every two weeks, new treasures move into the play homes, each one hand-approved by Imagine City and ready for the hunt. Phones pick them up on their own, no app update needed.

All aboard!
Charlie keeps the train on time.
Every Imagine City’s ride-on train has its own conductor. Find Charlie’s plaque by the station and he’ll wave hello, share his favorite train stories, and, for members, greet your children by name.

Questions, answered
Do I need to be a member?
Anyone can try the Diner demo with Tanner. Members unlock every play home, the treasure hunt, gold coins, the Treasure Box and greetings by name.
Which phones work?
iPhone and Android phones that support augmented reality (on Android, phones with Google Play Services for AR). Phones that can sense depth let the bears step behind real furniture.
Can we play at home?
Imagine City Discovery is played only at Imagine City, for now (hint, hint...).
Does it record my child?
No. The camera view stays on your phone and isn’t recorded or uploaded, and the app never uses the microphone.
How do the bears know my child’s name?
A parent picks who’s playing from the children on their member account and confirms. Names are never typed in, and the personalized audio is deleted after a day.
Can siblings play together on one phone?
Yes. Choose “take turns” or “work together.”
How often is there something new?
New treasures rotate into the play homes every two weeks, and the gold coins move every other day.
How do coins become prizes?
Each coin counts once per child per day. Every 25 coins earns a prize from the treasure box, every 50 coins earns a free snack, and every 150 coins earns $50 off a birthday party (up to two per child). Claim prizes in the app at the front counter. The prizes will keep changing, and we’ll be adding more all the time.
Is there a leaderboard?
Yes, a monthly top 20 per location, showing first names only, for children whose parents opt in.
